We hit 1 million. But you? You’re the real MVP.
You’re not just one in a million. You’re my inner circle.
Hey friend,
We hit 1 million followers on Instagram.
One. Million.
But here’s the truth: you, my email fam, are the crème de la crème. The real ones. The parents who not only follow along, but read, think, share, and stay curious. You chose to open this newsletter in a world full of noise, and that means more than I can say.

Not sure if you remember BitMoji Dr. Mona? But that’s actually how I started my Instagram handle. Before reels, before trending audio, it was just static posts and this little cartoon version of me sharing quick tips and real talk for parents.
It was simple. Personal. I had a smaller community for a very long time. And I can honestly say my content has always been purposeful and full of passion.

Because PedsDocTalk was never about chasing likes.
It was built from burnout.
From 10-minute visits that barely scratched the surface.
From watching good parents leave my office still feeling confused, anxious, or ashamed.
From knowing there had to be a better way.
I started writing. Then I started posting. And slowly, I started finding joy again, because I found you.
This community was born from a simple belief:
Parents deserve the why when we have it, and the honesty when we don’t.
You want answers, not overwhelm.
Support, not shame.
And practical tools you can actually use, not guilt you can’t shake.
And that’s what I’ll keep showing up with.
Now for a little secret I’ve been sitting on…
I’m writing a book.
It’s still early, but it’s happening.
And when it gets picked up (I say when, because I believe in this with my whole heart), you will be the first to know. That might be next year. Or a little longer. But it’s coming, and you’ll be there every step of the way.
So here’s what you can do to help keep this thing growing, strong and steady:
Share your favorite newsletters to stories and tag me
Forward this to a friend who needs less judgment and more clarity
Tell other parents to sign up at pedsdoctalk.com/newsletter
This newsletter? It’s mine. No algorithm. No filter. No fluff.
Just truth, humor, support, and science, all for you.
We’re not going anywhere.
Thank you for being here.
For trusting me.
And for being one of the smartest, kindest, most thoughtful corners of the internet.
With a full heart,
Dr. Mona
